Christian Allanic, who shot this video, also runs liveaboard dive trips through his travel agency OK Maldives, one of the most reputable operations in the Maldives.

He shot these images in October 2011 aboard the Atoll Challenger in the North and South Male atolls, on Ari Atoll, Baa Atoll and Lhaviyani Atoll.

It's the best season to spot invertebrates and tiny critters but it's also ideal for unique encounters. It has to be seen to be believed!
